Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. – Samuel Beckett
You know that saying “It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game?”
A lot of the time it is about whether you win or lose. Failure sucks. It’s discouraging and a big waste of time. You feel like a big old loser, mostly because you lost. It’s no fun and in real life there is no trophy for second place.
In my mind, the only thing worse than losing is quitting. This actually reveals quite a lot about my personality. And explains why I will attack a story repeatedly until I get it the way I want it. Personally, I call this determination. My parents call it stubborn. Either way, on occasion I might be a failure but I’m never a quitter.
